Fifty years ago Oakland Road neighbors Friedrich and Ingeborg von Huene started their small business making reproductions of centuries-old wooden flutes and recorders. The family workshop at 65 Boylston Street is still small and the instruments are still handmade but the workshop and its products are now famous, a mainstay of Early Music lovers the world over.
On June 1, 2010, the Brookline Selectmen honored them with a resolution congratulating them for their outstanding contribution to the fabric of our town.
